The Senior Project Manager will play a crucial role in ensuring the success of the studio’s high-end residential projects by creating an outstanding experience for our clients and our team members. The ideal candidate will be a natural leader with excellent communication skills. This role is not about designing our projects, but rather helping us design the best experience for all people involved. That said, we believe it is imperative that this person understands the single family residential design & construction process enough to help guide our clients through many of their questions throughout their time with us. The key responsibilities include:
• Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, ensuring their needs are met, and their expectations are exceeded throughout the residential project lifecycle, from early concept and programming through construction administration.
• Foster a positive and collaborative team environment, promoting open communication, teamwork, and knowledge sharing with a variety of internal stakeholders, including architects and designers, operations and procurement, and marketing.
• Develop and steward project schedules (weeks to months in advance), working closely with Directors, Project Managers & General Contractors to delegate deliverables, with the aim of keeping the timeline on track.
• Regularly meet with clients to understand design needs and expectations. Advocate for them to the team through accurate recording and delivering of meeting minutes.
• Identify and mitigate project risks and issues, and escalate as needed to ensure timely resolution.
• Provide regular project updates to the team, including status reports, presentations, and other communication materials as needed.
• Continuously seek opportunities for process improvement and efficiency gains to enhance project delivery.
• Perform regular budget reviews by phase with the client.
• Monitor firm budget and forecast, including project profitability reports and hourly budget reports.
• Approve project billing according to phase completion and percent completion.
• Alongside a Partner, lead some initial meetings with potential clients using the studio’s pre-made presentations & curated meeting formats.
• 8+ years of experience in a people-facing architectural role like Project Manager, Project Architect (or similar)
• 10+ years of experience working in the Architecture, Engineering or Construction Industry (AEC)
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to effectively communicate with clients, team members, and stakeholders at all levels
• Highly organized with the ability to manage many projects at once
• Ability to work from our Long Island City studio 3 days/wk (minimum)
• Must be legally authorized to work in the US
• Valid Driver’s License
• Proficiency in project management tools and software
• Experience working in Archicad or Revit
• Strong industry connections, with a knack for establishing relationships
• This is a full-time position with a healthy live/work balance (40 hrs/wk)
• Hybrid remote/in-person environment with 3 days/wk in-studio
• Typical working hours are 9:00am - 6:00pm, Mon - Fri
• Starting Salary Range between $95k - $115k

Project Managers are responsible for managing multiple projects in different phases simultaneously. This role is fundamental to the planning, coordinating & execution of our projects. The typical day-to-day responsibilities for our Project Managers include:
• Coordinating with our team, clients, and consultants
• Organizing & prioritizing multiple projects at once
• Overseeing DOB requirements and coordination
• Taking over sets at the end of SD and executing them through completion
• Delegating to & mentoring junior designers
• Keeping project timelines on track & managing deadlines
• Ensuring design intent, client needs & requests are met throughout the life of the project
• Managing project budgets (with the support of our Directors & Senior Project Managers)
• Reviewing structural drawings & shop drawing reviews
• Site visits during the CA phase (Majority of projects are currently within 3 hours of NYC)
• 5+ years of experience in a role as Project Architect / Project Manager / Similar
• 4+ of those years spent in wood framed residential construction
• 4+ years of experience working in Archicad or Revit full time
• Strong ability to communicate & delegate effectively and respectfully
• Maintain a positive attitude and can remain calm under pressure
• Highly detail-oriented and meticulous when reviewing shop drawings and redlining sets
• Ability to work from our Long Island City studio 3 days/wk (minimum)
• Must be legally authorized to work in the US
• Archicad experience
• Valid Driver’s License
• Strong previous relationships with vendors, trades and consultants
• This is a full-time position with a healthy live/work balance (40 hrs/wk)

Architectural Production Designers are responsible for drafting 3D models, crafting design presentations, and ensuring that design intent & client needs are met throughout the Interior Layouts, Design Development & Construction Documentation phase of the project. This highly technical role works directly with our Directors on both architecture and interior production. The typical day-to-day responsibilities for our Architectural Designers include:
• Drafting 3D models via ArchiCAD
• Understand & execute Construction Document drawing sets and specifications
• Help implement consultant drawings into the Construction Documents
• Collaborate with all team members across multiple projects and departments
• Source reference images for presentations
• Source, organize, & photograph physical material samples for client and studio library
• Coordinate with vendors & consultants
• Effectively work on multiple projects at once
• Understand DOB requirements
• Source Appliances, Plumbing Fixture & Hardware Selections
• Visualize Diagrams & Vignettes
• Create presentations in InDesign
• Create 3D furniture models & develop furniture layouts via Archicad
• Valid Driver’s License
• Strong previous relationships with vendors, trades and consultants
• 4+ years of experience in a role as Architectural Production Designer (or similar)
• 4+ years of experience in wood framed residential construction
• 4+ years of experience in Archicad or Revit
• Experience working in Adobe Photoshop/Illustrator
• Demonstrated ability to pay close attention to detail
• Respectful and effective communication skills
• Ability to work from our Long Island City studio 3 days/wk (minimum)
• Must be legally authorized to work in the US
