An Abandoned Lot becomes a Narrow, Modern Townhouse
Skinnyside is a new townhouse on a narrow 10’ wide lot in Sunnyside, Queens. Nestled between two larger developments, the previously abandoned lot had sat empty for over 100 years. Overgrown and filled with trash, the unmaintained property had become an eyesore to the community. By creating some innovative design solutions, we were able to turn the once-forgotten property into a modern 1,800sf townhouse with private garden and roof deck – all within a desirable NYC neighborhood.

An "Invisible" House in Nature
Situated on Long Island's East End, this 1,200sf guest house was designed to reveal the woodland and water views from the rear of the structure yet completely conceal itself from the street and neighboring properties. The artistic client's allowed our team to push the limits of the design and create a cottage that seems to disappear while still providing ample space for long-term guests and hidden, private gallery space.

Step Inside a Reimagined Mid-Century Home
Skipper House is a mid-century home renovation that honors the original design by Jasper Ward, a standout of the era’s modern movement. Located in a coastal community, the butterfly-roof home had fallen into disrepair, but the new homeowners saw potential in its bold, angular form. Our team stepped in to thoughtfully update the home for modern living while preserving the character and charm of its mid-century roots.
